1. Funke Akindele’s ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa’ Becomes Highest-Grossing Nollywood Movie
Funke Akindele’s film Everybody Loves Jenifa has officially become the highest-grossing Nollywood film of all time, setting a new industry record.
The movie’s distribution business, FilmOne, just revealed that it had surpassed the ₦1 billion milestone in less than two weeks and is still the biggest hit at the box office.
The movie grossed over ₦1.6 billion at the box office, becoming the highest-grossing movie of all time in West Africa at the time of writing.
“Everybody Loves Jenifa,” which was released on December 13, 2024, has a stellar cast that includes Nancy Isime, Stan Nze, Bisola Aiyeola, Patience Ozokwor, Chimezie Imo, Jackie Appiah, Folarin Falana, Isaac Olayiwola (also known as Layi Wasabi), and more.
