Funke Akindele’s film Everybody Loves Jenifa has officially become the highest-grossing Nollywood film of all time, setting a new industry record.
The movie’s distribution business, FilmOne, just revealed that it had surpassed the ₦1 billion milestone in less than two weeks and is still the biggest hit at the box office.
The movie grossed over ₦1.6 billion at the box office, becoming the highest-grossing movie of all time in West Africa at the time of writing.
“Everybody Loves Jenifa,” which was released on December 13, 2024, has a stellar cast that includes Nancy Isime, Stan Nze, Bisola Aiyeola, Patience Ozokwor, Chimezie Imo, Jackie Appiah, Folarin Falana, Isaac Olayiwola (also known as Layi Wasabi), and more.

After joining YBNL in February 2022, Asake became quite famous thanks to his releases of songs like “Mr. Money” and “Sungba.” Fans and industry watchers are talking about his future as an independent artist in light of his departure.
