Lagos Projects ₦5 Billion Revenue in Three Days as Tourism Fair Moves to Mainland

The Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture has partnered with Naija Brand Chick, a dynamic entrepreneurial community, to host the Mainland edition of the Lagos Tourism Naija Brand Chick Trade Fair, aiming to generate ₦5 billion in sales.

Following the Island edition’s success in April 2025, which generated over ₦1 billion, this event is set for October 24-26 at the Whitestone Event Centre in Ikeja.

The fair is a key part of the “101 Days in Lagos” initiative, a tourism and culture calendar designed to boost commerce, community engagement, and creative industries across Lagos’ five divisions. The event promises a vibrant mix of trade, entertainment, and cultural showcases, fostering an environment where innovation and tradition drive economic growth.

Mr. Idris Aregbe, Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tourism, Arts and Culture, highlighted the event’s role in promoting a people-driven creative economy. “We are deliberately leveraging entertainment to drive trade, inspired by the spirit of old Lagos, when markets came alive with music, performance, and community energy.

“Our goal this time is to empower between 100 and 150 vendors and help them achieve ₦5 billion in cumulative sales within three days. It’s ambitious, but we’ve put in the work to make it achievable,” he said.
