According to Atta Travels, the event saw first-time participants from Chad, St Helena, and Burkina Faso and kicked off with more than 1200 vetted international buyers from 55 source markets. This underscores the event’s big bang effect of Pan Africanism and shaping the future of African tourism.

In 2024, it generated R226 million in Durban alone and created over 1,000 jobs, with a broader impact across KwaZulu-Natal province.
